Negotiating: Your Nine Tips For Success
We all negotiate more frequently than we realize. You will leave this presentation equipped with practical tips to make you a more effective negotiator. You will also learn common mistakes to avoid.
Negotiating doesn't need to be a mystery. While negotiating skills are not something you're born with, you can learn them and become a better negotiator if you're willing to practice. You can't afford not to improve your negotiating skills!

Speaker: Norman Daoust
Norman Daoust established his consulting company, Daoust Associates, www.DaoustAssociates.com, in 2001 and specializes in data modeling, software requirements modeling, and data integration in the healthcare field. His clients include the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Veteran’s Health Administration, the Canadian Institute for Health Information, and a Fortune 500 software company.
Norman has held several crucial positions in Health Level Seven (HL7), the international healthcare standards organization: Secretary of the Technical Steering Committee, and Modeling and Methodology Facilitator for the Patient Administration Committee and then Anatomical Pathology Work Group. He has been an active contributor to the Health Level Seven Reference Information Model (RIM), a comprehensive healthcare data model, since its inception. In recognition of his contributions to that organization, he was one of twenty-five people in the world to receive their initial HL7 Fellow award in 2010. He is also on the board of directors of the New England chapter of the Data Management Association. His book is titled "UML Requirements Modeling for Business Analysts".
Norman is an engaging speaker who enjoys making complex topics easy and enjoyable.

Take the Massachusetts Turnpike to Exit 15 (Interstate 95/Route 128; if driving from the East; Exit 14 if driving from the West). After the tolls, follow the signs for Route 95/128 South. Exit Route 95/128 South at exit 19B (Highland Avenue, Needham). Follow Highland Avenue for 1.5 miles to a three-way intersection with Chapel and May Streets; bear slight right onto Chapel Street (to the right of the gas station). Take a right at the first light onto Great Plain Avenue/Rte 135. Then follow "From Great Plain Avenue" directions below.
Take Route 95/128 to exit 19B (Highland Avenue, Needham). From Great Plain Avenue
Proceed on Great Plain Avenue for 1.5 miles and the Olin College campus will be on the right. Enter the campus at "Olin Way" and follow the road around to the left to parking lot A, which provides access to all campus buildings. The meeting is in the auditorium at "Milas Hall", which is the first building to the right, as you walk up from the main lot. Handicap parking is available.
