Global Supply Chains in Chaos – What To Do Now
Global supply chains are in chaos as a result of the pandemic and geopolitics over the past few years. We are experiencing the effects of this chaos with shortages of industrial and consumer goods, skyrocketing logistics costs, factory shut-downs, shifting supply chains, and inflation. Unfortunately, the chaos isn’t likely to subside anytime soon.
Many companies in the United States have identified supply chain risk as a top priority to mitigate, including re-thinking their global supply chains. Reshoring is a hot topic for companies sourcing and manufacturing overseas, especially for those companies suffering because of the trade war and parts shortages due to the pandemic. It’s clear that global supply chain strategies must evolve.
Rosemary Coates has a long history of manufacturing in China, and now a passion for helping companies rethink their global manufacturing strategy and ultimately, rebuilding manufacturing capability in the U.S. With her 35-year career in global manufacturing, she will provide perspective and insight into what companies are doing now and what they should do in the future.
